Put Your Communication Skills to Good Use Though you’ll need to able to work by yourself, you’ll almost certainly be part of a team for much of the time. Being able to get along with all kinds of people – from the general public to CEO’s – is vitally important for any accountant, as is the ability to communicate effectively in writing. Social skills will also help you build a network of contacts to further your career. And if you should become a partner in a large organization, you’ll be using your communication skills to produce new business.
